Dangerous Goods Awareness

The aim of this short training course is to provide an understanding of the safe handling and storage of hazardous substances and dangerous goods for transport and in a warehousing environment.

This ½ day course is designed to embrace the requirements of all relevant legislation, Codes of Practice and guidelines that apply to the handling, storage and transport of dangerous goods.

The course is tailored for persons with current warehousing and transport experience and persons new to the transport industry. It is also recommended for drivers transporting packaged dangerous goods.

• Definitions and classifications of dangerous goods

• Segregation and separation distances of dangerous goods in storage

• Documentation, packaging types and packing groups

• HAZCHEM Codes and emergency procedures

Upon completion successful participants will
