Load Restraint

The aim of this short training course is to ensure transport industry personnel are aware of their responsibilities to secure and restrain loads correctly and to understand the basic safety principles that should be followed to ensure the safe carriage of loads. It includes a practical demonstration session on load placement and restraint techniques and incorporates practical exercises for participants.

This ½ day course is aligned to the Load Restraint Guide 2nd Edition 2004 which covers the guidelines and performance standards for the safe carriage of loads on road vehicles. It also aligns to the training competency unit TLIA107C Secure Cargo which is an element of the Certificate II in Transport & Logistics (Road Transport), a nationally recognised qualification within the Australian Qualification Framework.

The course should be attended by drivers, owner operators and freight consignors.
